Instructions for the Facilitator: Work with the MC class to prepare for/host a (mock) Women in Music Speaker event! Through class discussion, fill in the “Ws”:
■ WHO will the Woman in Music be? (what is her relationship to the band/ school/community?)
■ WHO is the target audience? (Marching Band, Music Department, College of Fine Arts, open to the community, etc.)
■ WHEN will the event take place? (consider band schedule, other planned events)
■ WHERE will the event take place? (how are rooms reserved on campus?)
■ WHAT ELSE is needed to be successful? (cost, technology needs, advertising, etc.)
■ WHY is this event important in regard to the Sorority’s values?
