Carolyn McCambridge: NCD Counselor

Carolyn McCambridge is a 2001 graduate of Bowling Green State University in Bowling Green, OH where she received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Popular Culture. She was inducted into the Alpha Xi chapter of Tau Beta Sigma at Bowling Green in 1997 and went on to serve as a chapter and district officer. Carolyn has also served as the National Chapter Field Representative for Tau Beta Sigma as well as the Membership Services Coordinator at the National Headquarters office in Stillwater. Carolyn continued her education earning a Master of Science degree in Leisure Studies from Oklahoma State University in 2006. Upon the completion of her degree, Carolyn was appointed Counselor for the North Central District. Through the sorority, Carolyn met her wonderful husband Scott, life member of the Zeta Alpha Chapter at Illinois State University. Scott works as an Educational Consultant for a CRM consulting company in downtown Chicago. Carolyn is employed as a recreation therapist spending her time in both behavioral health and inpatient physical rehabilitation settings. Carolyn and Scott reside in the western suburbs of Chicago where they spend their free time traveling, cooking, visiting friends and family and trying to take advantage of all Chicago has to offer!
Kris Wright: WD Counselor

Kris is a Tucson, AZ native who was initiated into the Omega chapter in 1992 at the University of Arizona. Currently she is the lead hiking and mountain biking guide at Miraval Resort in Catalina, AZ. In addition to volunteering as the Western District Counselor, Kris also volunteers with Southern Arizona Search and Rescue. In Kris's free time she likes to read, visit bookstores and cafe's, hike, camp, visit National Parks, and enjoy the Sonoran Desert.
Erika Pope: SWD Counselor

Erika Pope was initiated into the Theta Theta Chapter of Tau Beta Sigma from Henderson State University on October 25, 1999. As an active member of the organization, she served in various leadership roles including chapter vice president and chapter president as well as Vice President of Colonization and Membership for the Southwest District. She was on “The Showband of Arkansas” drum line where she was on the cymbal line, the bass line and the snare line in which she is proud to say she is one of only two female snare players in the history of The Showband. She also was a member of the concert and symphonic bands, as well as an auxiliary percussionist for “The NuFusion Project,” which is HSU’s jazz fusion ensemble.
A 2005 graduate of Henderson State University in Arkadelphia, AR, she holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Mass Media with a focus in radio/television broadcasting and a minor in music. She has background experience in mainstream radio, but she is currently a salaried manager for Rave Motion Pictures and also a private instructor/drum technician for Catholic High School for Boys in Arkansas and Alba-Golden High School in Texas.
Erika became a Life Member of the Sisterhood in 2007, an Honorary Member of the Theta Phi Chapter of Kappa Kappa Psi from Henderson State University in 2008 and she has continued to serve Tau Beta Sigma in various capacities such as workshop presenting, advising committees, and serving as a colony advisor/installing officer. In her spare time she likes watching movies, reading novels and rocking out on the drums with her rock band. She currently resides in Little Rock, AR.
Crystal Wright: SED Counselor

Crystal Wright is a native of Huntsville, Alabama. She is an alumna of Alabama A&M University where she received a Bachelor of Science degree in Secondary Education (Mathematics) in May 2001 and Master’s of Science degree in School Counseling in May 2008. Currently a school counselor in the Huntsville City Schools System, she hopes to one day purse a degree in School Administration.
During her tenure with the auxiliary line of the “Showband of the South,” she was initiated into the Theta Iota Chapter of Tau Beta Sigma in the fall of 1997. As an active member, Crystal served in various capacities including: The Ritual and Regalia Custodian, Service Committee Chair, and as the Chapter President. She also held the position of Southeast District Secretary during 2000-2001. Upon graduation, Crystal became a life member, joined the National Alumni Association, the Southeast District Alumni Association, and helped to create the Theta Iota Alumni Association - where she served as Vice-President and Secretary. She is currently a member of the newly formed Tau Beta Sigma Alumni Association.
Crystal is married to Huntsville Police Officer Jeff Wright, an alumni brother, who was initiated in the fall of 1999 into the Delta Iota Chapter of Kappa Kappa Psi Fraternity at Florida A&M University.
Reneé Cartee: SED Counselor

Reneé Cartee was initiated into the Zeta Psi Chapter at the University of Central Florida (UCF) in the Fall of 1996. At UCF she took an active role in the Concert Band, Jammin' Knights, and Marching Knights playing the Clarinet and Alto Sax. She held several leadership positions on the chapter level and took an active role on the district level from the very beginning, including the honor of serving as Southeast District President 2002-2003. Reneé enjoys traveling to conventions and events where active members learn, grow, and change the face of our beloved organization.
Reneé received a Bachelors of Arts, Liberal Studies concentrating in Music, Education, and Interpersonal Communication in Spring 2002 from UCF. Further, she received a Graduate Arts Management Certificate and Masters of Nonprofit Management in Summer 2006, also from UCF. Currently, Reneé is the Music Teacher at Page Private School in Sanford, Florida. Reneé also works at Walt Disney World in Recreation where she enjoys sharing a little "magic" during holiday events and children's activities.
Reneé currently lives in Oviedo, Florida with her husband Charley Cartee and her adorable cats. Charley was initiated into the Eta Sigma Chapter of Kappa Kappa Psi in Fall 1996. He was also in the UCF Bands and played French Horn and Mellophone.
Tom Franklin: NED Counselor

Tom Franklin is a 2004 graduate of the University of Connecticut where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Music Education and a Bachelor of Arts in Music. A trombone player, Tom participated in a wide variety of musical ensembles at UConn including the Wind Ensembles, Pep Bands and the “Pride of Connecticut” UConn Marching Band. Tom was inducted into the Gamma Kappa chapter of Tau Beta Sigma in Spring 2000 and held a variety of leadership roles on the chapter and district level including serving as Northeast District Vice President of Membership from 2004-2005. He is a life member of the Gamma Kappa chapter at UConn.
Tom is currently the Assistant Band Director and Percussion Director at Hartford Magnet Middle School in Hartford, CT where he teaches a variety of band percussion classes and courses in ethnic drumming. In 2008, Tom earned a Master of Science in Educational Leadership from Central Connecticut State University and hopes to continue his studies in teacher leadership in the future. Tom lives in South Windsor, CT with his wife Kristine where they enjoy spending time with family and friends, biking and generally living life to the fullest!
Wendy McCann: MWD Counselor

Wendy R. McCann is originally from San Marcos, Texas. She attended the University of Houston (UH) where she earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology (1992); she then attended the University of Houston-Clear Lake campus to earn a Master of Science in Counseling Degree (1996). While at UH, Wendy was a member of the University of Houston Cougar Marching Band and Symphonic Band, where she played flute and piccolo for four years. She was initiated into the Tau Chapter of Tau Beta Sigma in the spring of 1989, and as an active member, held various leadership positions, including Chapter Vice President and President. Wendy spent the last ten years helping to create and build the Kappa Kappa Psi and Tau Beta Sigma National Alumni Association (NAA) - transitioning from the role of Southwest District Alumni Coordinator (formerly part of the active district council) to serving on the Joint Alumni Task Force and Alumni Steering Committee, which eventually led to her becoming the first TBSigma Southwest District Director for the NAA. As NAA Programs Committee Chair, she coordinated the alumni activities at the 1997 and 2001 National Conventions. A Life Member of Tau Beta Sigma and an Honorary Member of Kappa Kappa Psi (Beta Sigma), she is thrilled to continue to serve the Sorority as the Midwest District Counselor. She strives to be a positive role model and guide for the Midwest District Officers, chapters and members, and to value the partnership and strengthen the Bond that we hold as Sisters and Brothers in TBSigma and KKPsi.
In 2002, after spending several years dreaming of living in Colorado, she and her husband John decided it was time to make the big move out of Texas. They are now busy "fixin' up" their new home near Denver, and are thrilled to have the Rocky Mountains in sight. John and Wendy met at the University of Houston, and since John is an Honorary Member of TBSigma (Tau) and a Life Member of Kappa Kappa Psi (Beta Sigma), they enjoy attending Sorority/Fraternity functions together. They are both members of the Denver Concert Band. Outside of TBSigma and band, most of Wendy's professional experience has been working with college and university students in the Houston area as an Admission Counselor/Recruiter for each her alma maters. She now enjoys her role as an Academic Advisor/Orientation Director in the Leeds School of Business at the University of Colorado, Boulder (CU). She is privileged to draw energy, ideas and enthusiasm daily from all of the students she works with - at CU and in TBSigma/KKPsi.
