TBSAA Support Music Affiliation

The Tau Beta Sigma Alumni Association is pleased to announce that we are now an Affiliate of SupportMusic.com.
 
SupportMusic.com is a public service initiative that impacts resolve and support for music education in local communities around the United States.  This advocacy effort now unites over 200 national and regional organizations comprised of parents and community leaders seeking to improve access and opportunity in music and arts learning.  Tens of thousands of concerned citizens visit the website every month and use its resources to keep music education strong in their schools and communities. 
 
What this means for TBSAA:
As an affiliate, TBSAA will have representation on the SupportMusic monthly conference calls. Through these, we will be kept abreast of challenges in defending school music programs, working with over 200 affiliates to develop strategies for success.  Coalition affiliates relay upcoming advocacy efforts and follow up together on opportunities where collective advocacy is needed.  Specific efforts and announcements will be shared with TBSAA membership through emails and the Rhapsody.
 
More significantly, TBSAA members will have easy access to SupportMusic.com’s tools for community advocacy, helping music educators and parents save existing music programs. These are resources compiled through the coalition, and their library is continually expanding.
